❄️ Holiday R&D – Procedural Crystal Growth with Mantra
A little festive R&D project using my custom-built phyllotaxis asset in Houdini to generate a variety of procedural crystals. Rendered in Mantra, the setup includes several types of crystals inspired by real-world minerals:

✨ Cyanotrichite
✨ Gold
✨ Pyrite
✨ Blue Fluorite
✨ Brochantite
✨ Chrysocolla
Each crystal was generated procedurally, leveraging the organic and mathematical beauty of phyllotaxis patterns. The goal was to explore complex surface details and light transmission within crystalline structures all while keeping a playful, holiday-inspired tone.
